Teeth Whitening

There are many lifestyle factors that can lead to unsightly, stained teeth: tea, coffee, red wine and smoking are just some of the most common. How much more confident would you be with a brilliantly dazzling, infectious smile?

The safe way to a brilliant smile.

At Dental Avenue, Parramatta, we use a safe three-step process of professional teeth whitening to create a stunning smile. Our non-invasive, Ultradent whitening process lightens the existing shade using two to three 20-minute applications, which means, you can expect brighter, whiter teeth after about an hour in the dental chair. The procedure doesn’t require a light to work as it is chemically activated.

Brighter every day.

Naturally, patients will experience slightly different results depending on their lifestyle and natural tooth colour – our dentists will be able to fill you in on the expected results. One thing we can guarantee though: we have the best whitening options to give you every possibility of having a brilliant, healthy smile – every day.

Teeth Whitening Faqs

Results differ from person to person depending on your starting shade and the cause of any discolouration. We’ll give you a realistic idea of what to expect for your teeth at your consultation rather than promising a specific shade — whitening lightens your existing tooth colour rather than creating an artificial result.

Whitening only lifts the colour of natural tooth enamel — it won’t change the shade of crowns, veneers, or fillings. If you have dental work on visible teeth, we’ll talk through your options at your consultation, since existing restorations need to be factored into your overall plan.

Some people notice temporary sensitivity during or shortly after treatment, which usually settles within a day or two. We can adjust the treatment and suggest products to reduce it, and assessing your teeth beforehand means we can flag anything that might make sensitivity more likely.

It depends on your diet and habits — coffee, tea, red wine, and smoking can all cause teeth to discolour again over time. With good oral care and the occasional top-up, results can last many months for many people. Cutting back on staining foods and drinks helps them last longer.

Professional whitening carried out or supervised by a dentist is generally considered safe for most people. Because we assess your teeth and gums first, we can check it’s appropriate for you and use the right approach for your situation. Some people get temporary sensitivity, which we’ll show you how to manage.
